Latest News and Updates
Sadly the outdoor season has come to a close, a little early this year because of work to sort out the green.  I think everyone will agree that overall it has been a successful year despite worries in April that the green would be unplayable. Indeed, I have been told that our green bowled better than some in the local area!
Ivan Hoile, our greenkeeper, started work on the green on last week after the Gravesend Vets match. Keith Gates, our Green Ranger, was present during the work and will know exactly what was done but I understand, the green was scarified in four directions, the detritus filling three skips, the green was then seeded and 6 tons of top dressing applied. Keith was seen busy filling buckets of top dressing ready for the spreader.  Good effort Keith!  I will keep you informed of progress. See photos
Green Clean Up for the Winter.  Well done to all of you who turned up, gardening was done, benches were repaired and put away, the ditch mats were scrubbed and put away, the kitchen and storerooms were cleaned and tidied, the freezers were emptied, the bar was area was scrubbed and the ladies loos were given a deep clean.  The tea and bacon butties were well earned.  Bravo Zulu to you all.
